Job description

An ideal candidate will possess a CDL Class B with Passenger and Air Brakes endorsements. If hired, you'll drive a large variety of vehicles including shuttles, trolleys, limo buses, limousines, and motorcoaches. We are seeking candidates with exceptional attention to detail, a genuine desire to provide excellent service, and the availability to drive both day trips and out-of-town, overnight, and multi-day trips. Folks with lesser availability should still apply. Applicants should be clean cut in appearance, well groomed, and have excellent personal care.

If accepted, your schedule will vary depending on the trips available each day. Some examples of events you may drive are: Cedar Point trips, Casino trips, brewery and winery tours, bachelor/ette parties, high school and college sports team transportation, weddings, scheduled shuttle service, and corporate events. Rarely are two trips the same and you'll be paid to travel all over the country! When applicable, you'll need to be able to help our customers with their luggage or equipment as it is loaded and unloaded from the vehicle(s) which may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Pay rate depends on the passenger capacity of the vehicle being driven. When driving vehicles with a passenger capacity of 14 or fewer, the driver will receive $16 per hour. When driving vehicles with a passenger capacity of 15 to 24, the driver will receive $18 per hour. When driving vehicles with a passenger capacity of 25 or more, the driver will receive $20 per hour. Full time drivers receive $20 per hour regardless of passenger capacity. When driving a motorcoach, ALL drivers receive $22 per hour. Gratuities are optional, but encouraged. The driver will receive 100 percent of any gratuity that the customer gives to the driver. Many of our drivers average between $25-$30/hour with gratuities included.

All drivers will be drug and alcohol tested. All drivers will also be trained on policies and procedures, as well as vehicle operation and standards of service. All drivers must also participate in recurring training on a regular basis. Drivers must have their own smart phone and be proficient in the use of normal smart phone apps. Drivers should be very familiar with West Michigan roads and freeways and be able to effectively plan and execute out-of-town driving in areas they may be unfamiliar with. Drivers will be subject to a thorough background check including the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, motor vehicle record (MVR), sex offender registry, and criminal history. Drivers must also possess a valid DOT Medical Card.
